Are smartphones just not that exciting anymore?
Now that smartphone design appears to be set in stone (black touchscreen rectangle), what is there to differentiate phones and actually provide a compelling reason to upgrade to something new? Five years on from the launch of the iPhone, have smartphones become boring. After all, my Mum does own one (sorry Mum).
What next for the tech industry?
This blog post was prompted by the launch of the Apple iPad Mini. I’ll wait until I’ve had a chance to use one before I pass comment on how good it actually is. It started me thinking though on where the next breakthrough category of devices and interactions is going to come from.
